In memory...

me and my grandmother around 1974

Sheila Miller

Well I missed yesterday, but today I have two pictures to share.  Eleven years ago today I lost the most amazing woman I have ever known, my mommom.  I was very close to her growing up, in fact for a short while when I was young we actually lived with her.  So many of my childhood memories involve her, she was the backbone of our family, the one that kept us all together through all the family drama and sadly when she passed so did a lot of our connections to each other.  I remember Sunday dinners at her house and she always would make cucumber salad because she knew it was my favorite and every year she would bake for everyone and we would each get a box of her homemade fudge which was incredible !  This amazing women raised 4 crazy boys, some of her grandchildren and also one great-grandchild and always seemed to have it together, she was so soft spoken so when she raised her voice you knew she meant business.  And would take in any stray animal that didn't have a home, she definitely loved her animals.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and my main ambition in life is just to be half the woman she was.  Love you mom mom from your Dena Lynn.
